Network Marketing success; help your Downline succeed
Real Network Marketing success only happens by building a downline which is solid and working. Your
downline is the major resource or asset of your business. Without it you have nothing.
Think of it this way. If you owned several investment properties, how would you look after them? Would you let them decay or would you put
effort into preserving them?
Just imagine you owned several types of investment property - domestic rental, commercial rental and perhaps a shop as well. Would you treat
them all the same? Of course not, because each of them needs individual attention. You have to customise what you do with each property to get
the best out of it.
So why do some people suggest that in your Network Marketing business, you should treat all people in your downline in the same way? Does
this make sense to you? Does it really help?
If you think about it for a moment, all human beings have a huge range of skills and abilities they can use successfully.
Nearly everybody is able to go through life finding new friends by finding people they like and get on with. For some its just one or two new
friends here and there, for others its huge numbers - it just depends on their personality and preferences.
Traditionally, in Network Marketing we treat all the people we recruit in exactly the same way. We put them through the same training, and we
tell them to behave in the same way. How could this possibly work for everyone?
One of the keys to the New Paradigm Network Marketing is to work with the people in your downline from where they are NOW,
building on their existing strengths.
The result is people who are happier and more productive, and it's much easier on
you too!
Let me tell you another story to illustrate this:-
When I was still at school, during the summer holidays I’d go to an engineering workshop to earn money. This workshop specialised in repairing
the machinery used by the textile industry. Many of these great machines had parts made from wood.
This workshop employed a craftsperson who was superb with timber. Each time a new person started working there he'd put them through the same
little demonstration as he did with me
He took two huge pieces of wood. He picked up a handsaw and he told me to go and get the big electrical power saw. Now this was no domestic
power saw. When you switched it on all the lights in the workshop dimmed!
Off I went, found the saw, came back and plugged it in ready to go, but in the minute or so it took me to do that, he'd almost cut through the
timber. What's more, he was doing it in such a leisurely way.
After this demonstration he went on to show me how he did it. This craftsman explained to me that for every piece of wood there's an ideal way
to cut it. You just need to feel what’s right.
