Secrets about Network Marketing and the new paradigm
The New paradigm in Network Marketing shows how ordinary people can comfortably build their own stable Network Marketing Business.
Before I start talking about Network Marketing and the ideas and principles behind the New Paradigm, it would be useful to look at and understand
why Network Marketers continue to try and do things in ways that don't work for most of us.
Lets first understand the history of our business.
The birth of Network Marketing was about 60 years ago. Its roots lay in the door-to-door salespeople of the United States.
Network Marketing came into being when salespeople started recruiting other salespeople. They used traditional sales methods, because this is
all they knew. This was back in the days before video players, the audio cassette even, and before the Internet. (Yes, there was a time before
the Internet!)
I feel there’s need for a brief explanation about why Network Marketing still uses approaches and techniques from these days.
So here is a little story, to illustrate my point.
I live in the United Kingdom which is renowned for its winding roads. So, why are many roads like this?
Well, that new road they've just put in had to go there because there were already buildings on both sides and there was nowhere else for it
to go. But the question is - why were the buildings there?
It's simple. Even though those buildings are new, they’re on plots of land where previous buildings were. Ok, fair enough, but why were those
older buildings there?
Well, these buildings lined an old road, and it made sense to build close to this road so homes connected, making it convenient for the
occupants. That sounds reasonable. But why was the old road there?
The builders of that old road simply put a hard covering on an existing dirt track. It was easier than trying to build a road from scratch.
Okay, but why was there an old dirt track?
Ah well! The simple answer is that there used to be a little path between ‘here’ and ‘there’ that people traditionally used. It therefore made
good sense to turn that into a dirt track. Agreed - but why was there a little path there in the first place?
That’s straightforward! When people first came to the area they found a little path between ‘here’ and ‘there’ that the wild animals were
using. It just made sense to use the same path since it was easier than trying to cut a new way through the vegetation. Hmmm… So why did the
animals go along this little path?
Well now, therein lies a little story. Long ago, a wild animal decided to go from ‘here’ to ‘there’. It wandered along until it reached the
edge of a small wood (The wood has long since gone) so it went around the wood, and then continued its journey. As it went along, some
interesting grasses distracted it so it wandered off and ate a few mouthfuls, then continued its journey to ‘there’.
Next day, the same wild animal decided to go from ‘here’ to ‘there’ again. It went along, around the wood, had the same distraction, and
eventually ended up ‘there’.
This continued for a few days. Then one of the other wild animals decided to come along, so now there were two of them walking along the same
route. And guess what? Within a week, many other animals joined them and the vegetation was being trampled down, making the going much easier for
them. So, from then until the present-day, animals and people have gone along the same path, and that modern road they’ve just finished building
at great expense, most likely follows that random walk of the wild animal.
Hopefully you can now see that, oftentimes, things are done in a certain way only because that's how they've always been done. A Network
Marketing business is no different from this. We do many things, only because that's what people are used to doing.
